More About William Gibson’s Quote

November 8, 2006

I think William Gibson’s quote is very true for a fair amount of the Net.Art work that I have looked and many other works, projects and sites that I have looked at for this module and also in my own time for other things. I think Google and Yahoo video sites could be looked at as a waste of time and also the sites about geotagging and geocaching that I have researched. However, what may look a waste of time to some one may not to someone else.

William Gibson Quote

November 8, 2006

“I did avoid the Internet, but only until the advent of the Web turned it into such a magnificent opportunity to waste time that I could no longer resist it.” I really like this quote and think that it is very true, that the Internet is just a way of wasting time. However, as much as there is a lot of stuff on the Internet to waste time there is also a lot of useful stuff as well, for example doing research rather than going to the library and contacting people quickly via email.
