John Maeda Quote From Creative Code Book

“If there were a prerequisite for the future successful digital creative, it would be the passion for discovery.”

I really like this quote because it has given me a different view about myself and digital artists. I have been worrying that I need to know a lot about programming to create something really good but looking at it from this point of view makes me feel a lot better, and that I don’t need programming skills to be a digital artist.

Creative Code

I brought another book from the module book list today called Creative Code, which has been written by John Maeda and includes some of his own work and his students work and projects. At the moment I have only had a quick skim through the book looking at some of the projects and to me they look quite hard to produce because I wouldn’t know where to begin with the programming.
